The SENCO role is non-class-based and FTE 0.4 initially but could be combined with cover or teaching roles within school for the right candidate.

Our Lady’s R C Primary School are seeking to appoint a SENDCo with experience of working with pupils with a range of additional needs and a good knowledge of the SEND agenda. The candidate should be passionate about making learning effective and enjoyable for our most vulnerable pupils. You do not have to be a Catholic to teach at our school; all we ask is that you uphold our Christian values. 

 

The person 

  • has a proven track record of raising outcomes for all pupils, especially those with Special Educational Needs and Disability across the school.
  • has excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills and will further develop the role of SENDCo.
  • works effectively as part of a team and in collaboration with school leaders to support staff
  • is someone who supports and promotes the Catholic ethos of our school
