‘A Christ-centred learning environment where all are safe, valued and loved’

Saint Mary’s is an Ofsted Outstanding (2017-2018) and Diocesan Outstanding (2020) one-form entry primary school with its own nursery, situated in the semi-rural Cheshire town of Congleton. It is a loving, thriving and vibrant community which encourages children to grow morally, spiritually, socially and intellectually.

One of four Catholic Voluntary Academy schools (three primaries and one secondary) making up the Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Academy Trust, Saint Mary’s is also a feeder school to our partner Ofsted Outstanding All Hallows Catholic College in Macclesfield.

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Deputy Headteacher who:

  • Is a practising Catholic with a strong faith, committed to the ethos of Catholic education
  • A person who values people and recognises the importance of compassion
  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner who motivates and inspires children to achieve their full potential
  • Is forward thinking and skilled in leading and managing areas of school curriculum development
  • Has the leadership qualities needed to work with the Headteacher in order to inspire, challenge and encourage our dedicated staff to achieve the best outcomes for pupils

We can offer:

  • A friendly, welcoming community, underpinned by our strong Catholic ethos
  • Happy, confident, well-behaved and enthusiastic children who enjoy learning
  • A newly formed, ambitious and highly supportive Senior Leadership Team
  • A caring, talented and committed staff, and a dedicated and active governing body
  • Excellent opportunities for continuing professional development

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please contact us to arrange a convenient time.
