The Governing Body of St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational and committed individual to the post of Head Teacher from 1st September 2022 following the retirement of our previous Head Teacher at the end of the Autumn term.
St Teresa’s is a one-form entry, successful community primary school providing strong Catholic faith-based education in the heart of the thriving green belt town of Borehamwood in Hertfordshire, on the North London border. We are part of and have close links with the Diocese of Westminster. Visitors are always impressed with the excellent behaviour of our children who represent our school locally in many ways with pride. The school provides good academic standards and exceptional pastoral care by a dedicated staff. We are proud to have retained our Ofsted GOOD status at our last inspection in January 2020 where it was stated: "The school's strong values, such as having respect for others, are evident throughout the school. Pupils enjoy good relationships with staff. There is a strong sense of community with the school and working together is important to all."
In addition to helping children attain high academic standards, we strive to build self-confidence and develop the ability to articulate feelings and ideas. We attach great importance to the development of children's social skills and seek to enable them to build good relationships based on mutual respect and appreciation.
