Head Teacher

Salary: Leadership Scale 15 – 21

Full Time and Permanent

Required From: 1st January 2021 or 2nd November 2020 by negotiation

The Governors of Abbey Catholic Primary School would like to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated Head Teacher to lead our caring, friendly school and community where our Catholic Ethos is central to all we do. A love of our friend Jesus, guides all decisions. The successful applicant would share this view.


Applications are invited from experienced School leaders. The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • Can lead the vision and ethos of our Catholic School as it joins a Multi-Academy.
  • Has DSL experience and be confident in this role.
  • Can demonstrate good or outstanding Leadership and practice, in all key stages.
  • Can demonstrate a proven track record of providing inspirational, strategic and professional leadership.
  • Can demonstrate a strong subject knowledge in all areas of the primary curriculum.
  • Will be a team leader, with experience of coaching and mentoring.
