About Our School
St Michael’s Catholic Grammar School is a selective, voluntary aided Roman Catholic secondary school for girls, with boys admitted into the sixth form, known for its strong academic tradition and emphasis on moral, social and spiritual development. Founded by the Sisters of the Poor Child Jesus, it retains a distinct Catholic ethos encapsulated in its Latin motto “Quis ut Deus” (“Who is like God?”), fostering a close-knit, respectful community with high expectations of behaviour and scholarship. Temporary Part-time Teacher of Art
The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher of Art to this selective school which has been five times judged OUTSTANDING by OFSTED. This is a part-time 0.6 temporary position while the incumbent is on maternity leave. The successful candidate will join a vibrant and thriving Art Department and will teach KS3 & Year 10. GCSE courses are well established and examination results are outstanding. This opportunity would ideally suit someone who enjoys teaching talented pupils and can communicate interest and enthusiasm for the subject in a school which is committed to the ideals of Catholic education. The school provides a very rewarding working environment where employees are valued and there is a focus on staff welfare.
