St Mary’s RC High School is a highly successful 11-16 mixed comprehensive school with a very strong Catholic ethos. We strive to uphold the Gospel values and the standards we have set for ourselves and are committed to providing outstanding academic, pastoral and spiritual development for all of our pupils.

St Mary’s is a very popular school locally; our reputation for enabling pupils to achieve outcomes and make outstanding progress within a caring community, means we are oversubscribed. In our most recent Ofsted inspection in December 2024, we retained our Outstanding status with the inspection team, highlighting the ‘high expectations’ we set for our pupils, their ‘strong behaviour rooted in the school’s values’, and achievement which ‘by the end of Year 11 is very high for pupils overall’.
