About Our School
St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Edlington is a voluntary aided Roman Catholic school for children aged 3–11, with a warm, aspirational ethos summed up in its motto, “Dream it, Believe it, Achieve it.”
The school emphasises high expectations for teaching, behaviour and personal conduct, promoting a no‑excuses culture built on mutual respect and care for each other. It was judged Good at its most recent Ofsted inspection in December 2021, with behaviour and attitudes graded Outstanding. Deputy Headteacher
The children, staff, and governors of our schools are seeking an inspirational Deputy Headteacher who will work in close partnership with the Headteacher to provide strong strategic leadership, drive continual school improvement, and nurture a culture of compassion, ambition, and excellence. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This post involves working with children and therefore if successful you will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service records check at an enhanced level.
