About Our School
St Benedict’s Catholic High School is a co-educational 11–18 voluntary aided Roman Catholic secondary school serving a wide catchment in West Cumbria, with a strong emphasis on faith, community and academic aspiration. Guided by its motto “A Sense of Faith,” the school’s ethos blends Catholic values with inclusive pastoral care and high expectations for behaviour and achievement. The most recent Ofsted inspection, in June 2025, judged the school to be Good, reflecting effective leadership, a positive learning environment and secure classroom practice. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational and talented teacher to join our Computer Science and Business Department. We want a person who is passionate about learning and teaching in their specialist field and who is willing to take part in developing the vision, commitment and determination to raise standards across all levels and abilities. This post is suitable for an ECT or experienced teacher. St Benedict’s School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its students.
