About Our School
The Federation of Mary Immaculate and St. Teilo’s Catholic Primary Schools is a new partnership between two long‑established Catholic primary schools working closely with the Diocese of Menevia and Pembrokeshire County Council. United under the Christian motto “Living and Learning in the light of Christ,” the federation is rooted in a caring, nurturing ethos that values every pupil as an individual and focuses on both academic excellence and personal growth. Recent Estyn reports highlight Mary Immaculate’s “wonderfully caring and nurturing ethos” and St. Teilo’s “clear vision” and individualised approach, reflecting a strong, child‑centred culture. Executive Headteacher
Working in partnership with the Archdiocese of Cardiff-Menevia and Pembrokeshire County Council, the governing body of this new federation of Catholic primary schools is looking to appoint an outstanding leader as executive headteacher. The successful candidate will be expected to continue the successful Catholic learning in both schools and to divide his/her time between the two sites. You will lead a senior management team comprising a deputy headteacher and an assistant headteacher, each of whom is responsible for the day-to-day management of one of the two school sites. Mary Immaculate Catholic Primary (NOR 175) is situated in the lively county town of Haverfordwest and has a “wonderfully caring and nurturing ethos” (ESTYN March 2023). St. Teilo’s Catholic Primary (NOR 87) is situated in the picturesque seaside town of Tenby and has a “clear vision [..] and values every pupil as an individual” (ESTYN 2018). You will be a practising Catholic and an inspirational leader with an impressive record of school improvement. You will have vision, adaptability, drive and passion to facilitate success for our pupils, staff and parish communities.
